Homemade Granola

At Mabel & Joy we are all about bringing back the breakfast. One of the reasons we exist is to support those who are so busy in the morning, often caring for others, that they forget about themselves. Until it's too late and the energy slump hits and the snackcidents happen. You now, the accidental snacking that you could really do without. The sloppy burger and chips or pie that you're craving because you didn't look after yourself at breakfast time.

We've all been there. We desperately want xyz for lunch because we're starving and then regret our decision not long after and spend the afternoon feeling like crap! Breakfast is the answer we're looking for. And Mabel & Joy is here to help you get there, quickly and without fuss.

We love granola for breakfast, and are partial to a delicious granola recipe! Granola can keep you fuller for longer (providing it's the right kind mind you!), and is so quick to make. Leftovers can be stored in a jar for up to a year (as if it would last that long), and can be a healthy lunchbox treat for the kids to snack on.

Some of the toppings we love to add to our granola include:

Strawberries, halved
Passionfruit, pulp scooped out
Kiwifruit, peeled and sliced
Chocolate Banana nice cream
Frozen bananas, roughly chopped
