Summer of Smoothies - Banana Salted Caramel

Heck yes, who doesn't love the flavour combination of banana and caramel together?! Short of putting your face right into a banofee pie, we've come up with this little treat (and yes, we use the word 'treat' deliberately). 

We do love our Banana Salted Caramel smoothie bowl, though we tend to have it at the end of the day. It's definitely a dessert.

Ingredients within this smoothie will replenish protein and glycogen stores to build lean muscle, whilst the Maca will work to alleviate anxiety and stress. High in iron and energy, this one would even be good to start your day with, as long as it's an active day! 


Banana Salted Caramel smoothie

Ingredients
1 large banana (frozen)
2 tablespoons protein powder (we use Paleolicious)
1/4 cup almond milk (or your choice)
1 tablespoon Maca powder
3 medjool dates
1/2 teaspoon sea salt flakes

Instructions
Blend until all ingredients come together. This mix will be quite thick, so if you prefer it smoother, add more milk.

We serve this with Peanut Butter & Cacao Blend, making this an all time fave in our household.
